"A Picture is worth a thousand words" that is my mantra.
Thankyou. Hello Everyone : ) My name is Beryl Striewski and I am a lover of life and embrace my passion for living by trying to make the moment last forever by freezing it in a photograph. I love so many different things. I am so fortunate that as a photographer I am entitled to roam the planet. I am also an enthusiastic adventurer and I often don't know which direction to go. So, I continue to experiment with all things new and different and hope beyond hope that one day I can figure it all out. I love to please people and to make them happy. And I work hard. Those characteristics work great if I am your photographer. So, dear readers, that is my personal story… and I have a professional one too; Beryl Striewski is a Northern Michigan based lifestyle photographer specializing in food and wedding photography. She studied photography at Texas A & M University in Commerce, Texas and received one of the first Masters of Science in Art degrees offered. She opened her own business in Houston after receiving an NEA Grant in l988. She proceeded to work for clients such as Fortune Magazine, Texas Monthly, Continental Airlines, Chili's, MD Anderson Cancer Center, South Texas College of Law, University of Houston Clear Lake, Kellogg's, Shell Oil and The United Way. In 2004, Beryl received a CACCH grant and produced a body of portraits entitled "The Archetype Series" shown during Fotofest 2004. In 2008, she and her family relocated to Northern Michigan. She currently resides with her husband, one dog and one special needs horse in the rich agricultural & coastal town of Traverse City, Michigan to embrace a quieter and different lifestyle.
